In a world where many things are disposable and recyclable, our teeth are precious and worth saving. I wake up every morning motivated to help my patients keep their teeth and free them from pain.
I was passionate about pursuing a career in oral healthcare from a young age because I wanted to spend my workdays helping others to be healthier and ultimately, happier. As an endodontist, I have the opportunity to interact with many patients seeking root canal treatment, which means meeting many great people I would have never met otherwise. Outside of performing excellence in dental care, the most treasured things I have learned have come straight from the patients I treat.
Education and Experience
Born and raised in Amman, Jordan, I obtained my Bachelor of Dental Science at Misr University for Science and Technology in Giza, Egypt. From there, I traveled to the US, attending the University of Texas, Health Science Center in San Antonio for my Doctorate of Dental Surgery. I completed my Advanced Education in General Dentistry (AEGD) at East Carolina School of Dental Medicine before moving back to San Antonio for my advanced training in endodontics and Master of Science degree, both of which I earned at the University of Texas, Health Science Center.
Treating patients motivates me to seek more knowledge and to learn new endodontics techniques to deliver the best dental care. I have chosen to participate in continuing education by joining the department of endodontics at the University of Texas Health Science Center at San Antonio as an adjunct faculty. This position will enable me to be up to date with the most recent research and innovative endodontics techniques to ensure that my patients receive the best evidence-based dentistry practices with the best possible therapeutic outcomes.
Outside the Office
I have called San Antonio my home since 2012. I enjoy exploring the exciting food scene we are fortunate enough to have here, as well as experiment with different recipes at home. I like to keep fit at the gym and am always up for a good road trip!
